Tanya, Dental Hygienist
Hi. I’m Tanya, and I’m Dr. Bosler’s Registered Dental Hygienist. With over 14 years of clinical experience in dental hygiene, I truly love what I do. I value each and every person who sits in our dental hygiene chair and allows me to educate them about their dental hygiene concerns. Many patients associate dentistry with negative assumptions and are embarrassed about their oral health. My specialty is making patients feel welcome and comfortable while providing superior dental hygiene service.
From the time I meet a patient, I strive to make their experience wonderful. Our patients constantly comment on my caring nature and gentle touch during their dental hygiene visit. I not only spend the time providing excellent clinical care, but enjoy the lasting relationships that are formed with all patients.
I hold an additional dental hygiene license which allows me to practice in skilled nursing facilities. I am able to bring dental hygiene care to individuals with severe disabilities who cannot physically get into a traditional dental office. This includes volunteering with people who do not have a place to call home. This is a very spiritually rewarding and humbling part of my dental hygiene practice. I feel if I can help someone become more confident in their smile, perhaps they will become more successful in other areas of their personal or professional life.
I spent two years as Component President of the Louisiana Dental Hygiene Association and coordinated several volunteer opportunities. Some of the more successful projects were: adopting a children’s home by providing annual donations of time and cash to improve their health. I volunteered at a CNA program to help the daily care providers establish a proper routine and understanding of oral health for their patients.
On a more personal note, I was born in Louisiana, but gladly call Vacaville home due to a military relocation in 1995. My husband is retired USAF, but still enjoys a similar career at Travis AFB. We have 2 grown children who remained in Vacaville, and 3 wonderful granddaughters.
When I’m not working in Dr. Bosler’s office, I enjoy anything outdoors; hiking, camping, boating, gardening, and beaches. Making an annual scuba diving excursion helps maintain my inner peace throughout the year. I am also a lifelong fitness junkie, and spent several years in competitive bodybuilding and fitness, but currently enjoy a more relaxed fitness routine.
I have a soft spot for animals, and have 2 small dogs that bring me great joy. I’m a certified canine trainer, and certified in canine CPR. My goal is to obtain the credentials needed to assist in training guide dogs. I would be honored to meet you, and you have my word that I will do my best to provide a positive and gentle office experience for you and your family.
